Thank you for choosing Kritter Kare Spa for your pet's mobile grooming needs. This agreement outlines the terms and conditions for our grooming services. Please read the following carefully. By signing below, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to the terms of this agreement.
1. Mobile Service Logistics
Parking Access: Clients must provide a safe, legal parking spot near the service location.
Access Restrictions: If you live in an apartment complex or building, please have a designated meeting area to drop off and pick up your dog near the parking area of the mobile grooming van.
Arrival Window: Kritter Kare Spa will arrive within the scheduled appointment window, which includes a 60-minute buffer before and after your designated appointment time. For example, if your appointment is scheduled for 11:00 AM, your groomer may arrive anytime between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM. You will receive a text notification 10–30 minutes before arrival to allow time to prepare your pet. Minor delays may occur due to traffic or grooming times.
Pet Hand-Off Procedures: Being prompt helps us stay on schedule and continue offering reliable service to all clients. To ensure a smooth and timely grooming experience:
Please have your pet prepared and ready within 5 minutes of the groomer’s arrival.
A delay in handing off or retrieving your pet that exceeds this 5-minute window will result in a $5 fee for every additional 5-minute interval of wait time.
Pet Accessibility: Pets must be ready and accessible at the appointment time. If the groomer cannot access the pet, the appointment will be rescheduled and a 100% fee will be charged.
Gated Communities: Clients are responsible for providing gate codes or adding Kritter Kare Spa to their guest list.
2. Pricing Estimates and Variability
Bathing and grooming service prices are estimates and may vary based on factors such as pet temperament, breed-specific requirements, time since the last grooming, coat condition, and the dog’s size. Additional charges may be applies at the groomer’s discretion. Please note that sales tax is not included in the listed pricing.
Prices listed are starting points for each weight category and increase progressively within the weight range. For example, the small haircut weight group (16–25 lbs) is priced between $115–$135. A 20 lb dog will generally cost more than a 16 lb dog, and a 25 lb dog will be higher still. This is reflected by the “+” sign or price ranges listed.
3. Text Reminders and Arrival Notifications
Clients will receive a text message 7 days before the appointment requesting confirmation. If not confirmed, a second reminder will be sent 3 days prior. A final courtesy reminder will be sent the morning of the appointment.
If you do not receive a reminder 3 days prior, please contact us to verify your appointment.
You will also receive a text notification 10–30 minutes before arrival with an estimated time of arrival (ETA). If we anticipate being 30 minutes or more late, we will notify you as soon as possible.
While we strive to arrive within 15 minutes before or after your scheduled appointment time, delays can occasionally extend up to one hour. We will never compromise the safety or comfort of our clients' pets or the safety of others by rushing to appointments.
We expect pets to be ready and accessible during the 5-minute window before and after your scheduled appointment time.
4. Latchkey Services
Latchkey services are available for clients who may be unable to be home during their scheduled appointment. After your initial grooming appointment, Kritter Kare Spa can perform future services without your presence, provided the following conditions are met:
Clear entry and lock-up instructions are communicated to us in advance.
The pet is secured in a designated, accessible area.
Payment is arranged in advance via cash left on-site or electronic invoice.

5. Pet Health and Safety
Kritter Kare Spa only accepts pets under 70 pounds.
Clients must inform us of any behavioral issues, health conditions, or grooming history.
We reserve the right to stop services if they pose a health or safety risk.
In medical emergencies, we may seek veterinary care at the owner's expense. Efforts will be made to contact the client immediately.
Pets must be current on rabies vaccinations in accordance with local regulations. While Kritter Kare Spa does not collect proof of vaccination, it is the sole responsibility of the client to ensure their pet is properly vaccinated and protected.
Clients are responsible for any medical expenses resulting from injuries caused to Kritter Kare Spa staff.
6. Parasite Policy
Pets must be flea and tick-free.
Discovery of parasites will result in a $75 treatment fee per pet.
Flea and tick prevention can be purchased for $25 and applied during grooming upon request.
7. Payment Terms
All fees are due at the time of service. At the close of the day, unpaid bookings will be charged to the card on file. If payment fail, a $10 late fee will be incurred daily until payment is received.
A valid credit card on file is required to secure appointments.
We accept credit cards, cash, Zelle, and Venmo. No checks accepted.
Unless instructed otherwise, a 15% gratuity will be added to the final bill when using a card on file.
Sales tax is collected in accordance with Texas law.
Future appointments may be withheld until outstanding balances are paid.
8. Cancellations and No-Shows
48-hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule.
Less than 48 hours' notice or a no-show will result in a 100% fee charged to the card on file.
After two violations, prepayment will be required for future appointments.
Fees must be paid before any new appointments are scheduled.
9. Grooming Adjustments and Limitations
Safety and comfort are our priorities. Services and fees may be altered if extreme matting or stress is observed.
For each instance of matting, a separate Matted Pet Waiver must be completed prior to the start of grooming services.
Groomers may adjust cut styles or techniques based on coat condition and pet behavior.
A one-time Senior Pet Waiver must be completed for all senior pets prior to receiving grooming services.
10. Aggressive or Unsafe Pets
Kritter Kare Spa reserves the right to refuse or terminate services for pets showing aggression or unsafe behavior.
If grooming must be stopped due to aggression, clients are responsible for all incurred fees.
11. Inclement Weather or Emergencies
Appointments may be rescheduled due to weather, vehicle issues, or other unforeseen events.
Clients will be contacted promptly to reschedule.
12. Photography and Marketing Release
We may take photos of pets during or after grooming.
By signing this agreement, you grant Kritter Kare Spa permission to use such photos for promotional or marketing purposes unless you opt out in writing. Private information will never be shared, only your dogs' image will be used.
